Jose Aldo is one of the greatest featherweights of all time and this record of 7 title defenses in the UFC proves that. Aldo was the UFC's first featherweight champion after the WEC was absorbed into the UFC which, instantly made Aldo the UFC's featherweight champion. His 7 title defenses included wins over Cub Swanson, The Korean Zombie (Chan Sung Jung), Frankie Edgar, and Chad Mendes. His loss to Conor Mcgregor not only brought an end to his 7 consecutive title defenses but also an end to his 18 fight win streak!

4. Jon "Bones" Jones (8 Title Defenses)

If this was for overall title defenses Jon would be joint first. However, because of his behavior outside of the octagon, Jon was stripped of his title, and therefore, his streak of 8 consecutive title defenses was broken. Jon Jones first captured the light-heavyweight title at the age of 23 becoming the youngest champion in the promotion's history. He defeated Mauricio Hua for the title and his streak of 8 title defenses consisted of wins over Quinton Jackson, Rashad Evans, Lyoto Machida, Vitor Belfort, Daniel Cormier, and his legendary bout against Alexander Gustaffson which, is now in the UFC hall of fame!

3. Georges "Rush" St-Pierre (9 Title Defenses)

GSP is without a doubt the greatest welterweight of all time. He is also arguably the greatest MMA fighter of all time and his 9 consecutive title defenses help with that claim. GSP first seized UFC gold after defeating Matt Hughes in a rematch but shortly lost it to Matt Serra. After regaining his title GSP defended it 9 times before retiring. These defenses included wins over fighters such as Nich Diaz, Carlos Condit, Bj Penn, and Jake Shields.

2. Anderson "The Spider" Silva (10 title defenses)

Anderson Silva comes just short in this list at number 2. Silva first defeated Rich Franklin to capture UFC gold at UFC 64. He dominated the middleweight division continuing his legendary 17 fight win streak in MMA before losing to Chris Weidmann at UFC 162. Andersons legendary run consisted of wins against Dan Henderson, Chael Sonnen, Chris Leben, and Vitor Belfort.

1. Demetrius "Mighty Mouse" Johnson (11 Title Defenses)

At number 1 we have DJ with a record of 11 consecutive title defenses. His run in the UFC flyweight division was nothing short of remarkable as he dominated his way to 11 title defenses. His notable wins include Benavides, Ray Borg, and Henry Cejudo. He lost the belt by controversial split decision against Henry Cejudo in their rematch and they never got a trilogy bout because of DJ moving to ONE Championship, were he is the current 135 pound champion.
